BatChat With Matt & Will Episode 41: Content Warnings Abound

The Killing Joke

So, this week was supposed to see the release of the final issue of James Tynion IV’s ongoing Joker series, a series Matt & Will have unabashedly loved over on the BatChat column. But whether it’s supply chain shipping issues or something more related to the production of this particular issue, the comic has been pushed back a week. But time, tide and ranking lists wait for no man, and so we are moving forward with this episode regardless. This week, well, we’re going to make some enemies, because we are talking about three more Joker stories, including what many consider the greatest Joker story of all time: The Killing Joke. Matt & Will… do not agree. And as the title suggests, there is some rough content in here around sexual violence, so we want you to be aware.

  • Batman: The Killing Joke
  • Joker OGN
  • The Joker’s Double Jeopardy (The Joker V.1 #1)

Be sure to check out this week’s BatChat column, where we look at Batman: The Knight #6 and Batman: The Adventures Continue Season 2.

Matt Lazorwitz read his first comic at the age of five. It was Who's Who in the DC Universe #2, featuring characters whose names begin with B, which explains so much about his Batman obsession. He writes about comics he loves, and co-hosts the creator interview podcast WMQ&A with Dan Grote.

Will Nevin loves bourbon and AP style and gets paid to teach one of those things. He is on Twitter far too often.
