BatChat With Matt & Will: Can’t He Just Hush Already?

Hush Banner

Every time Will has complained about how much he hates Hush, Matt or someone else said, “Well, read ‘Heart of Hush.’ That might change how you feel.” And this week he did. And, well, it was the best story of the week, and the best story centered around Hush as the primary antagonist (since the original “Hush” story is a Riddler story in the end). We discuss why Hush doesn’t seem to work, more of Paul Dini’s psychology, and the one good page in the third story we wish was the entire comic.

  • Pushback (Batman: Gotham Knights #50-55)
  • Heart of Hush (Detective Comics V.1 846-850)
  • Tales from the Dark Multiverse: Batman- Hush

Be sure to check out this week’s BatChat column where we look at Batman/Superman: World’s Finest #14 and NIghtwing #103.

Matt Lazorwitz read his first comic at the age of five. It was Who's Who in the DC Universe #2, featuring characters whose names begin with B, which explains so much about his Batman obsession. He writes about comics he loves, and co-hosts the creator interview podcast WMQ&A with Dan Grote.

Will Nevin loves bourbon and AP style and gets paid to teach one of those things. He is on Twitter far too often.
